Glitterfly or Glitter Butterfly is a insect creature, reported from Southeastern Michigan, suburbs of Detroit. A large Butterfly with deep orange wings with yellow markings on them. It has a dark body, and the underside of its wings are pale and appear almost glitter-like, which gives the insect its name. Karl Shuker, respected cryptozoologist, says it might be an Atlas Moth. "They are Asian, but are commonly bred in captivity on account of their spectacular appearance and size. Their markings are variable, and the tips of their forewings are semi-transparent, so that in certain lights they glitter." "Also, they are powerful fliers, so it could have travelled quite a distance away from its original escape locality." But he did not know that it was sigted more than once, s the Atlas Moth theory may have been outruled.
